Important installation notes: On approximately 20% of the Windows systems, the installation will not properly register an ActiveX component needed to run Campaign. If this happens, you will receive an error message when you try to send the e-mail, "Cannot create ActiveX component..."

The solution is very easy. After you have completed the installation, simply:

  • Open a DOS window (run the DOS command prompt)
  • Go to your Windows\System\Olesvr directory (in the DOS window)
  • You should see a file called idsmai32.exe
  • Type:  idsmai32.exe /regsvr
  • Press the enter key
  • After a few second, when the command prompt returns, exit the DOS window.
  • That's it!

This procedure manually registers the ActiveX component, and you only have to do it once (if at all).
